This past weekend, volunteers showed up and with lots of hard work accomplished amazing things! 20 beds were built and placed in the garden area, much of the mulch has been spread, and a tree and other branches removed.
Thank you to each and every one of you! Thank you for making our dreams and visions a REALITY! No longer is the garden, just a picture, but it EXISTS!
We still need to dig the trench for the water irrigation system, but we can now in confidence take reservations for this coming spring for planting. None of this would have been possible were it not for the generous donations of Lowe’s, our county commissioner, David Whitlock and ALL the fabulous volunteers. We had volunteers from the age of 10 to 84! This truly is a COMMUNITY EFFORT!
Stay tuned for our next work day to be scheduled to finish up the work.

When crisis comes, it seems like everything suddenly is going backwards! It seems that times are dark and difficult. But as the Lord shows up and His Church connects with volunteers, officials and those in need, things begin to improve and the load gets lighter. Often, things end up better than even before! We pray that each of us can RISE TO THE TIME IN HIM!
