The Work Has Begun!

Finally, we received our building permit!  The old floors, ceilings, rotten wood have been removed and as of yesterday we have the new floor installed!  As least partially!   Skip, one of the most talented and precious men of God we know here has been diligently working to put in the new foundation of floor joists!   Vincent – another precious man of God has been working just as meticulously to take out the old unsafe electrical wiring and replace it with new code compliant wiring! Love Touches Me! Every time we have deployed after a disaster, there is a story that surfaces that is a beautiful expression of selfless love! Quapaw is no exception. When the storm did so much damage to this small tight-knit community, it was less than a month from graduation for some 25-30 high school students. Today, Terry and I woke with a DEEP HUNGER for God HIMSELF- nothing else would do- so we wiped our calendar clean and in the midst of early phase two recovery here in Oklahoma, we put the “do not disturb” sign on the door of our hotel room and sought the Lord with our WHOLE hearts!
